Sri City Japanese Companies Association donates Smart Display Boards to Govt. High Schools at Madanapalem and Irugulam
Sri City: In an endeavour to improve the educational infrastructure in the government schools in the area, the Sri City Japanese Companies Association (SJCA) donated state-of-the-art interactive smart display boards, one each to the Zilla Parishad High Schools at Madanapalem and Irugulam on Friday. Sri City –the second largest Japanese Industrial Township in India has 29 Japanese companies operating in it.
Handing over the boards to the headmasters of the respective schools, Akira Matsuda, President, SJCA urged the teachers and students to make full use of the smart boards and other electronic gadgets as handy tools to enhance basic education.
Commenting on the donation given by SJCA, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City said, “Education is one of the Sri City Foundation’s areas of focus, and we, along with the industrial units, have been doing our bit under CSR initiative to improve the infrastructure in government high schools in the region.”
Kobayashi, Vice President, Kikuwa India Pvt. Ltd., other Japanese partners, Ramesh Kumar, Vice President (Customer Relations), Sri City Foundation Team were present at the brief ceremony held at the Irugulam school. An amount of Rs.2.4 lakhs was spent towards this.
SJCA has spent approx. Rs. 13.50 lakhs towards infrastructure improvement in government schools in the area, so far. Surendrakumar of Sri City Foundation said that 23 Smart display boards were provided to various schools in the vicinity of Sri City by different Sri City Units as part of their CSR activity.
The headmistress thanked the SJCA and Sri City Foundation for donating the useful gadgets, that permit an easy grasp of complex subjects in the curriculum in an interactive manner.
