Strengthening Indo-Korean Ties: IKC and ICCK Signed MOU for Collaboration in Education, Business, and Culture

Pune, Maharashtra: The Indo-Korean Center (IKC) under the Youth Build Foundation in Pune and the Seoul-based Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Indo-Korean Center. This landmark agreement paved the way for enhanced economic, educational, and cultural collaboration between India and South Korea.
The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Eunjoo Lim, Director of IKC, and Sanjib Ghatak, Co-founder of IKC and Managing Director of Kiwa Consultants Pvt. Ltd., representing the IKC. Ramesh Iyer, Chairman of ICCK, represented the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and Dr. Dinesh Amalnerkar.
The key agenda included addressing the rising demand for Korean-speaking Indian manpower in both nations and devising effective strategies for training individuals in the Korean language while fostering cultural understanding. The collaboration also envisioned developing practical industrial and business exchange programs, including curated visits to South Korea for Indian professionals and students.
Through the MOU, both organizations aimed to exchange strategic information about companies in Korea and India seeking to expand their operations across borders. They planned to identify relevant public and private sector programs that could facilitate these expansions and publicly announced the collaboration through press releases and updates on their respective websites, ensuring visibility and outreach. They actively supported each other’s initiatives via social media and other platforms while introducing and developing strategic opportunities that benefited members of both organizations. Additionally, updates were shared through newsletters, bulletins, and press releases to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Dr. Eunjoo Lim, Director of IKC, emphasized, “This MOU was a significant step towards fostering mutual growth. By integrating language training with cultural understanding, we aimed to bridge gaps and unlock new opportunities for professionals in both countries.”

The Indo-Korean Center (IKC), founded on March 25, 2021, under a MOU between the Youth Build Foundation and Kiwa Consultants Pvt.
