Tech-driven startup by Harvard, IIT, and IHM alumni invents Maxmoh Mega Kitchens in shipping containers, produces zero human touch meals
Equipped with real-time video monitoring systems to track the action on the floor to ensure fool-proof quality, the Maxmoh Mega Kitchens deploy IoT-enabled static or mobile sensors throughout the food production process from raw material inputs to final consumption.
NEW DELHI: A group of Harvard, IIT, and IHM alumni have joined hands to redefine the way sumptuous and hygienic food is cooked at the mega-scale with an almost zero-human touch.
Largely young with decades of experience, they have got shipping containers refurbished and converted into moving kitchens – Maxmoh Mega Kitchens, as they call it. These kitchens are automated and compact process-cook-chill-production (PCCP) units with the latest state-of-art food technology with cooking gadgets technology imported from the world over.
This first of its kind Food OEM is preparing and serving top-class foo reputed corporates, industries, institutions, and hospitals through its state-of-art, world-class production facilities which are run by technology-driven SOPs with a minimal human touch as the scare of the outbreak and spread of deadly viruses of the likes of Covid-19 has set up the new world order in almost every aspect of life. And food and beverages sector is a no different domain.
The tech-driven startup YCY Foods by this bunch of young entrepreneurs in their 20s-40s has infused state-of-the-art technology to give birth to the new idea of PATILALESS kitchens (without conventional kitchen utensils) equipped with cooking gadgets from Germany, Italy, Taiwan, etc. These kitchens are capable of producing up to 2,500-25,000 meals per day.
The kitchen gadgets include Combi Ovens, Cook Woks, Titling Brad Pans, Self Standing Boiling Pans, Roti Making Machines, Deep Fat Fryers, Robot Coupe, Chiller Equipment, Chillers, Vegetable Washers, Peelers & Cutters, Pulverizes, Sweet Shapers, Food Metal Detectors, Water Systems, and RO, Pan Washing Machine, and Security Cameras

Yadav said that as the Food OEM, the company is capable of producing Plug & Play units allowing the creation of a fully functional food production facility – Maxmoh Mega Kitchens within 45-60 days from scratch, even in the remotest locations. “Partnering with us could give the much-needed “Peace of Mind” in the post-Corona health sensitive world.”
Already serving clients, such as Accenture, Big Bazar, IRCTC, Phillips and Hunger Box, this capital intensive initiative with almost no-labor intervention has cook-wok of Taiwanese technology, combo-oven of German and others such as vegetable washers and bread pan with Italian technology.
Pryesh Yadav who has been engaged with food technology for many years, establishing a partnership with customers, industries, and corporates that demand world-class services at local costs, has the experience of preparing meals for the passengers of Indian Railways in hi-class trains like Shatabadi on the Delhi-Mumbai route for years.
Another team member Sapna is a graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management, and Oberoi School of Hotel Management.
“But before launching this Moxmoh project, we extensively studied top-of-the-line and mass kitchens such as Taj Catering and Akshaya Patra Foundation. Accordingly, we have introduced non-manual cutting and washing of vegetables as well as cooking in our kitchen. In all we need a team of 15 highly skilled food and beverages and food technology workers at one facility,” said Sapna. She has over 28 years of experience in the hotel and aviation industries in India and the US, where she managed a 5 star Hilton property in Washington DC.

The very crucial element in delivering the food fresh without compromising on its taste is the Food Safe Logistics which includes insulated Cambro boxes to transport the food in a safe and temperature-controlled environment, with the most optimized logistics operations.
