On the 9th of March, 2024, three talented chefs will collaborate to create an exceptional dining experience at Mohan Mahal, the signature restaurant of The Leela Palace Jaipur. The initiative aims to elevate the presence of women in the culinary industry through specially curated dinners, engaging panel discussions, and exclusive masterclasses, fostering an environment that supports and encourages the growth of talented individuals.
Culminating in a spectacular event, the #ShefsAtTheLeela gala dinner will be the highlight this year at The Leela Palace Jaipur. This grand event will feature three globally renowned female chefs, showcasing not only their exceptional culinary skills but also emphasizing a strong commitment to transforming the narrative and establishing new benchmarks in the culinary sphere. Noteworthy points about the event: a distinctive initiative celebrating Indian women chefs through a partnership with Dean With Us. Over the past two years, more than 10 of India’s leading female chefs have collaborated to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This year, the lineup includes three internationally acclaimed women chefs: Chef Rasika Mythily Venkatesa, Chef Tashyaa Mehrotra, and Chef Tejasvi Chandela. Their inspiring journeys not only tantalize the taste buds but also spark a desire for culinary excellence. The Leela aims to inspire others to recognize and appreciate the importance of women’s participation in the industry, promoting a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. Together, they strive to create a more diverse and equitable world for women.

The theme of this collaboration revolves around showcasing the vibrant flavors, diverse ingredients, and intricate techniques of South Indian cuisine through a six-course menu that includes dishes like Stuffed Kuzhi Paniyaram, Southern Beet Croquettes, Backwaters via Siene, Textures of raw banana, and Aubergine Pollichattu.
Chef Rasika Mythily Venkatesa, who earned the title of Chef de Cuisine of Mourad in 2022 under the guidance of the world-renowned Chef Mourad Lahlou, stands out as one of the youngest CDCs in the industry. She is also a recipient of the Star Chefs – Rising Star Award in San Francisco.
Leading the kitchen brigade at the only 100% vegan restaurant in Delhi with a focus on sustainable cooking, Chef Tashyaa Mehrotra aims to redefine the boundaries of vegan cuisine and highlight its depth and richness.
Chef Tejasvi Chandela, an alumna of Le Cordon Bleu, made history as the first Indian pastry chef to receive the prestigious ‘Pastry Talent of The Year Award’ in Paris by La Liste.
