GURUGRAM. The Golf Course Road-based Mega Mall has launched a first-of-its-kind “Pickup & Drop-off Point” facility for the convenience and comfort of mall visitors in Gurugram on the lines of what malls in Dubai offer.
The facility that aims at the convenient drop and pickup of the visitors was jointly inaugurated by veteran columnist, thinker and journalist Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik and Global India Collaborative (GIC) President Ashok Bhuwaniwala on Saturday evening at Mega Mall here,
Erstwhile popularly known as DT Mega Mall initially, the Mega Mall with 230 outlets of Indian and foreign origins including Japanese and Korean. It is one of the best malls in Gurugram housing more than 50 malls. With an area of 3-lakh Sq ft, the Mega Mall is aptly managed by the Mega Mall Condominium Association formed by the property owners of the mall. The services are maintained by JLL at the behest of the Mega Mall Condominium Association led by its president Amit Goyal.
While inaugurating the “Pickup & Drop-off Point” facility, Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik said that a similar facility is being offered at various malls in Dubai also and it’s very successful there. Lakhs of mall visitors are taking advantage of it.
“It’s the need of the hour that a cosmopolitan city like Gurugram has world-class facilities for its dwellers. The city already hosts enumerable MNCs, foreigners, and corporate honchos, and given this condition, the situation highly demands that facilities like Pickup & Drop-off Point are introduced here,” Dr. Vaidik said while praising the Mega Mall Condominium Association for introducing this user-friendly service.
In his address, the GIC President Ashok Bhuwaniwala said that the contribution of the private sector in providing modern facilities in Gurugram under CSR mandate is really commendable, and the companies here have transformed the city from a normal town to a cosmopolitan and world-class corporate city that hosts hundreds of Fortune 500 companies of global repute.
“The government should also provide facilities in accordance with the huge revenue collection it makes from this burgeoning city. The facilities provided by the state government agencies are not enough. More experiments are being done by the government here, but their utility is not according to that. It is a shortcoming of the system somewhere,” Bhuwaniwala said.
While explaining the newly launched Mega Mall Condominium Association president Amit Goyal said that entire mall managent is being carried out by the association that has been formed out of the shop and office owners of this mall.
“With the introduction of the new visitor-centric facility, it has become very convenient for the mall visitors. They can now drive their cars into specially earmarked pavement without halting and merging with the running vehicular traffic in the common driveway. It would now avoid long vehicle jams in front of the mall. This facility is available at both the gates no 1 and 2. The visitors can leave their cars with the valleys at the specially earmarked checkpoints and get into the mall without driving their vehicles into the parking lots. Similarly, they can collect their vehicles after finishing with the shopping or dining at the mall,” Amit Goyal added.
