Union Minister Bhupender Yadav to be Chief Guest at Asian Unity Golf Cup 2025
A stellar lineup of diplomats, business leaders, and cultural performers to highlight the occasion on Feb 22.
New Delhi – Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, will be the chief guest at the Asian Unity Golf Cup 2025 & Award Ceremony on February 22, 2025. The minister will present prizes and trophies to the winners of the event.
On Thursday, a delegation from the ACN Advisory Board, comprising Japanese and Korean dignitaries, met the minister at Nagomi Japanese Fine Dining restaurant in Gurugram to formally invite him to the event, which he graciously accepted.
The delegation was led by Sanjeev K Ahuja, Founding Chief of Asian Community News (ACN), and included Dr. Euy Don Park, Chairman of the Federation of Korean Associations in India, Prakash Yadav, Founder & MD of AJU Group of Japanese Hotels, Maaya Takaoka, CEO of NIHONSHUNISHIYO Co. Ltd and a member of the Asian Entrepreneurs Club (AEC), and Ayaka Shibata of AJU Ryokan Hotels. Noted social activist Inder Yadav was also present.
The minister was informed that other dignitaries attending the event would include Takashi Ariyoshi, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan; Lee Seong Ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, Ambassador Baushuan Ger, Chief Representative, TECC, and diplomats from the High Commission of Malaysia. Ambassador Perisamy Kumaran, now Special Secretary, MEA, would also participate in the event.

Ranveer Singh Saini: An Inspirational Tee-Off: A special highlight of the tournament will be the presence of Special Olympics Gold Medalist Ranveer Singh Saini, an inspiring golfer who has overcome autism to achieve global recognition. Having won historic gold at the Special Olympics World Games (Los Angeles, 2015) and successive medals in Abu Dhabi (2019) and Berlin (2023), his participation embodies the event’s spirit of resilience and excellence. In December 2024, Ranveer was honored with the Shreshth Divyangjan Award by President Droupadi Murmu, further cementing his legacy.
Solidarity Dinner & Award Ceremony: A Cultural and Culinary Extravaganza: As the tournament concludes, the event will transition into an enchanting Solidarity Dinner & Award Ceremony, offering an array of delectable cuisines from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and India. Star Performances: A Fusion of Asian Pop Culture: Adding to the event’s grandeur, Sacred Fleramo, the celebrated Japanese idol group, will grace the stage with their mesmerizing dance performances. After their remarkable debut at Konnichiwa Japan Festival, the celestial idols return to India to captivate audiences once again.
Joining them will be ‘Girl Crush,’ an Indian K-pop dance sensation that has gained nationwide acclaim for their electrifying performances. Having won multiple K-pop India Contests, their inclusion underscores the growing influence of Korean pop culture in India and the wider Asian region.
A Platform for Diplomacy and Collaboration: The event will witness the participation of ambassadors, chiefs of missions, counselors, and dignitaries from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, and other countries.
