The esteemed accolade was bestowed upon her on the 16th of August at the Baek Beom Kim Koo Memorial Hall in Seoul, in recognition of her relentless efforts in amplifying the magnificence of Korean culture and art both within the nation’s borders and across the globe.

With an aura of humility and gratitude, Chung expressed, “This recognition is an immense honor that I accept with deep appreciation. My journey, starting from Hadong Girls’ Middle School and Jinju Girls’ High School, followed by a global sojourn spanning the United States, Canada, and India, has ingrained in me a profound longing for Korea and my roots.” Also known as Seon D. Chung, she is also the recipient of the Sarojini Naidu, International Award for Women’s Development. Apart from IKBCC, she also leads Korea-India Business Culture Forum (KIBCF).
